Famous Recipes - ISO "Roasted Corn" recipe

I am searching for a recipe for what they call as "roasted corn". It is served at the small cafe in my office building and just love it. It is like creamed corn meets roasted corn on the cob with a little spice to it. I have a feeling that there might be chiles in there, along with caramelized onions. I tried to duplicate it at home, but can't figure out how to get the roasted corn to be creamy like creamed corn. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
