_______________________________________

Ham Balls in Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients
2 eggs, beaten
1-1/2 cups soft bread crumbs (2 slices)
1/2 cup finely chopped onion (1 medium)
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
12 ounces ground cooked ham
12 ounces ground pork or ground beef
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 teaspoon dry mustard

Directions
1. In a large bowl combine eggs, bread crumbs, onion, milk, 1 teaspoon
mustard, and the pepper. Add ground ham and ground pork; mix well. Shape
into 12 balls, using about 1/3 cup mixture for each. Place ham balls in
a lightly greased 2-quart rectangular baking dish.

2. In a bowl combine brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, and remaining 1
teaspoon mustard. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over meatballs.

3. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree F oven about 45 minutes or until
done (an instant-read thermometer inserted into meatballs should
register 160 degrees F). Transfer meatballs to a serving platter to
serve.

4. Makes 6 servings
