Cranberry Pecan Bars

1 cup flour
2 tbs sugar
1/3 cup margarine or butter
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 tbs flour
2 beaten eggs
2 tbs milk
1 tbs finely shredded orange peel
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped cranberries
1/2 cup coconut

In a medium mixing bowl, combine 1 cup flour and 2 tbs sugar. With
a pastry cutter, cut margarine into the flour mixture until the
mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in 1/2 cup of the pecans.
Press flour mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 13x9x2" baking
pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 min. Meanwhile, combine 1
1/4 cup sugar and 2 tbs flour. Stir in eggs, milk, orange peel and
vanilla. Fold in cranberries, coconut and the remaining chopped
pecans. Spread over partially baked crust. Bake 25 to 30 min more
or until top is golden. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars
while warm. Cool completely. Makes 16 bars.
