Taco Cheeseburgers

1/2 cup canned kidney beans, rinsed and drained 1/2 lb lean ground beef 1/2 lb lean ground turkey 1 pkg (1.25 oz) low sodium taco seasoning 1/2 cup shredded reduced fat Cheddar cheese, about 2oz 4 whole wheat hamburger buns 2/3 cup sliced iceburg lettuce 1/4 cup store bought fresh salsa 2 tbs reduced fat sour cream 2 tbs chopped fresh cilantro, optional

Mash beans, with fork; combine with beef , turkey and taco seasoning. Shape into 4 (3/4" thick) patties. In nonstick skillet, over medium heat, cook burger, turning once, until no longer pink inside, 5-7mins per side. Sprinkle with cheese; cover skillet until melted 1min. Serve burgers with remaining ingredients and, if desired, cilantro.
