Curried Pasta Salad with Steak

12 oz campanelle(bell flower-shaped) pasta 1 cup frozen peas 1 cup packaged shredded carrots 2 tbs curry powder 1 tsp salt 1 1/2 lbs flank steak 1 tbs canola oil 1 cup light mayonnaise 1/3 cup raisins 1/4 cup finely diced red onion 3 tbs apple cider vinegar 2 tbs honey baby spinach leaves, optional

Cook pasta according to package directions, adding peas during last minute; drain. Rinse under cold water until cool. Transfer to bowl; add carrots. Meanwhile, combine 1 tbs curry and 1/4 tsp salt; rub over both sides of steak. In large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Add steak, cook, turning once until browned, 5-8min per side for medium rare. Cool slightly. Cut in half lengthwise; thinly slice crosswise. Stir together mayonnaise, raisins, onion, vinegar, honey and remaining curry and salt. Stir into paasta mixture. Add steak; toss to combine. If desired, place spinach on serving platter; top with pasta mixture.
