Cranberry Mold Like Granny Never Made Serves 6

***CRANBERRY MOLD*** 1 package (3 oz.) cherry Jello 1 package (3 oz.) raspberry Jello 1 cup (packed) chopped (not mashed) fresh cranberries 1 cup heavy whiskey (such as Jack Daniels) 1 orange finely cut 2 tablespoons dried orange peel 2 tablespoons dried lemon peel 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg 1/8 teaspoon allspice

***CREAM TOPPING*** 1 cup heavy whipping cream 2 tablespoons powdered sugar 1/4 teaspoon vanilla 1/8 teaspoon mace 3 tablespoons chopped black walnuts

Boil 1 1/2 cups water with 1/2 cup whiskey, lemon and orange peel and spices. Add Jello and dissolve. Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup cold water and chill until thickened, but not set. Add cranberries, remaining whiskey and cut orange. Allow to set overnight in a 10 inch ring mold (or whatever hand mold you like).

For serving, invert onto a dish in the usual manner and garnish with the medium-whipped cream, topping with the chopped walnuts. (Note: This method uses far less water in preparing the Jello than usually called for. The amount is correct as stated)
