Famous Recipes - Clam Fritters

Clam Fritters

Ingredients:

2 cups clams 1/3 cup flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 egg 1/4 cup chopped onions 2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Directions:

In a bowl, chop clams and onions fine, add remaining ingredient , mix well. Heat about a 1/2 cup of oil in skillet pan. Drop mixture in hot oil by the spoonfuls. Cook about 3-4 min on each side tell lightly browned. Serve hot. (The fresher the clam, the better the fritter!) Crabmeat can be used in place of clams.
