Shrimp Recipes - Firecracker Shrimp
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons grated orange peel
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic, chopped
2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/4 pound snow pea pods, cut into 1-inch pieces
3 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
4 cups hot cooked rice
In small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, vinegar, cornstarch, orange peel, and red pepper flakes; set aside. Heat wok over medium-high heat. Add oil, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds. Add shrimp, bell pepper, and pea pods. Stir-fry for 3 minutes. Stir in honey mixture; bring to boil and cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened. Toss in green onions. Serve over rice.
