Brennan's Bananas Foster

4 T. butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
4 T. banana cordial
4 bananas, cut in half lengthwise
1/4 cup rum
Vanilla ice cream

Melt butter over flame pan. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, banana cordial, and
mix well. Heat for a few minutes, then put bananas, cut in half lengthwise
and
then halved along their width, in pan and saute until soft. Add rum and
allow
to heat well. Tip pan so that flame from burner ignites alcohol. If you do
this on a kitchen stove, use a match. Allow to burn until flame burns out.
Serve over vanilla ice cream by putting 4 pieces of banana on each portion,
then
spooning hot sauce from pan onto the bananas and ice cream.
