Not only do we spend money like crazy on Halloween, we also drink more.

Last year, Halloween was the deadliest day of the year for alcohol related crashes. 257 people were killed by drunk drivers on that day alone in the United States. From Thanksgiving to New Years Day, 1,579 people lost their lives because someone decided to drive after they had been drinking. We lost a total of 17,013 people last year to drunk drivers.
Sorry for the downer, but I am a chapter president for Mothers Against Drunk Driving and I just got the stats for the holidays last year.
If you are going to be out drinking , please designate a driver before you leave home.
