Chewy Coconut-Almond Cookies in a Jar
1 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted and completely cooled
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 cup baking mix (Jiffy Mix, Bisquick, etc.)
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup baking mix
Layer and pack ingredients in canning jar in order listed. Yes,
some ingredients are repeated. That's where the layering comes in--
think edible sand sculptures.

Attach recipe to the jar.
Chewy Coconut-Almond Cookies
1 Jar of Coconut-Almond Cookie Mix
1 stick butter or margarine, melted
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Empty contents of jar into a medium mixing bowl. Stir in the
melted butter, the egg and the vanilla until well-combined. Shape
into 1-inch balls. Place on baking sheets coated with cooking spray
(or use parchment paper). Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes or until
cookies are golden brown.
YIELD: 2-1/2 dozen cookies.
