Powder Puff Cookie Mix

1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 1/2 cup flour
1 cup chopped walnuts

Combine powdered sugar and flour. Spoon into an airtight container. Layer
walnuts on top; secure lid. Attach following instructions:
Cream 3/4 cup shortening and 1/4 cup softened butter together. Stir in 2 t.
vanilla extract. Blend in cookie mix. Shape dough into one inch balls and
arrange on greased baking sheets. Bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes; cool
slightly.
Place one cup powdered sugar in a small bowl. Roll cookies in sugar while
warm.
Makes 4 dozen. Be prepared ahead of time with gifts for friends who drop by
during the holidays or special occasions. Cookie and beverage mixers are
great
to store in the pantry for up to 6 months, and cookie cutters with favorite
recipes attached are simple, heartfelt gifts to keep on hand all year.
