Pork Burger with Potato Rosti
Ingredients
For the burger
110g/4oz pork, cut into chunks
30-55g/2-3oz smoked cheese
1 tsp sage leaves, chopped
1 slice white bread, crusts removed, torn
knob of unsalted butter
drizzle of olive oil
1 tbsp olive oil
For the rosti
½ potato, peeled and grated
salt and freshly ground black pepper
30g/1oz unsalted butter
Method
1. To make the burger, place the pork, cheese, sage, bread, butter and
drizzle of olive oil into a food processor and blend until combined.
2. Remove the mixture from the processor and shape into a burger.
3. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan and cook the burger for 4-5
minutes, or until thoroughly cooked.
4. To make the rosti, place the potato and seasoning into a bowl and mix
together.
5. Heat the butter in a small non-stick pan and scatter the potato in,
spreading it out evenly. Gently fry for 3-4 minutes each side until
crisp, golden and cooked through.
6. Transfer the rosti to a serving plate and serve the burger on top
