[world_famous_recipes] Dave Update--OT
Well, we decided to go to the ER after all. Yup, they kept
him. His blood pressure was just way too high. And yes, he did have
a stroke--a bleeder. But it doesn't look like it is very serious.
We took him to the same hospital that my daughter was in when she had
her stroke two years ago, it is a very good hospital. My neighbor's
boyfriend took us with instructions to call him to bring us home.
Dave programmed Roy's telephone numbers into his cell phone, then
gave it to me--with a locked keypad. I had no way of contacting Dave
to find out how to unlock it. So I had to call my neighbor (not easy
to do!) to call her boyfriend at 2 a.m. to pick me up. I didn't
think the buses and trolleys (subway) would be running at that hour,
and even if they did, I didn't want to ride them. I expect him to be
home by Thursday, but you can never tell. I've seen nothing posted
yet (I'm on digest), but I'm sure I'll hear lots. So thanks ahead of
time for your prayers and encouragement.
